There are so many types of salads: Green Salads (made with leafy greens like lettuce, spinach, kale, arugula, and mixed green), Grain and Bean Salads (using quinoa, couscous, bulgur, farro, chickpeas, lentils, or black beans as a base), Pasta Salads, Fruit Salads and Protein-Based Salads (using grilled chicken, beef, seafood, or tofu).

Salad Dressings

There are so many types of salad dressings: Vinaigrettes  (oil & acid), Creamy Dressings (using a mayonnaise, yogurt or sour cream base), Oil-Based Dressings (mixed with minimal citrus &/or spices), Yogurt-Based Dressings (yogurt base – of course – with citrus, herbs and spices), Fruit-Based (fruit puree or juice mixed with oil or vinegar and sweetened with maple syrup, honey or agave), Mustard-Based Dressings (Dijon or whole grain mixed with vinegar, herbs, spices) and Herb-Infused Dressings (oil base with spices or herbs such as basil, thyme, oregano, or parsley).
